"Twist of Fate" by Olivia Newton-John: John Travolta Not Part of That Recording

On Top40Weekly.com, for all the “US Top 40 Singles” charts in late 1983 and early 1984 (starting with the week ending November 5, 1983), the entry “Twist of Fate” by Olivia Newton-John indicates (with John Travolta) for the artist billing. But John Travolta was not involved with this recording, nor is he listed on the record label for the U.S. 7-inch single issued by MCA Records (MCA 52284). However, the B-side of this 7-inch single was the track “Take a Chance”, which actually was an Olivia Newton-John/John Travolta duet. But the A-side was not. And of course, both songs came from the 1983 film Two of a Kind, which starred both Newton-John and Travolta.

Could you have a look and confirm this correction?

I see it’s noted as featuring John Travolta in the Singles Chronology for 1983 too?

The confusion comes with the b-side to the single, “Twist Of Fate”, a song called “Take A Chance” is by Olivia Newton-John and John Travolta. The original soundtrack album is credited to Olivia Newton-John and John Travolta. Also, the original 45 picture sleeve had a photo of John with Olivia and credited him on the sleeve. However, now it is safe to delete John Travolta’s name from the “Twist Of Fate” entries.

Thanks @jtmichaelson!

@Sliv812 I have amended this on all charts and Singles Chronology.
